Experience Led Innovation Workshop
Students were invited to participate in and contribute to a future European and UK funding proposal on 'Smart Clothing to Self-Manage Chronic Diseases' through a co-design workshop in which they worked in an open space environment and were engaged with using co-design methods and prototyping tools to model their own smart clothing, with guidance from experts. Their prototypes will be used to inform the funding proposal and will be exhibited at future public engagement events.
Dr Elisavet Dimitrokali is a third-year postdoctoral research fellow in WMG at the University of Warwick. Elisavet has a multi-disciplinary background and expertise in the fields of product design, industrial design, building architecture, interaction design, user-experience design, service design, smart technology, eco-design and sustainable assessment methods, as applied in the energy, healthcare and wellbeing, service, commercial, retail, domestic and automotive sectors.
Previously, Elisavet worked in industry in various SMEs to help companies to evaluate customer preferences and user experiences of using smart technologies such as smart heating controllers.
Elisavet’s research interests lie in the field of 'Digital Living' for Future Cities looking at developing digital tools, creative methods and technologies that will help companies to solve real life issues through public engagement and putting the user at the core of future developments and innovations.
