11.05.2018-Jack's paper on mycosporine amino acid motifs accepted!
Jack's paper on 'Unravelling the photoprotection properties of mycosporine amino acid motifs' has been accepted in J. Phys. Chem. Lett. Many congrats to Jack (on his first paper) and also the rest of Team Stavros along with collaborators Gareth Richings (theory) and Martin Wills (synthesis).
29.12.17- Collaborative work on Platinum complexes accepted!
Work led by Robbin Vernooj on 'Spectroscopic Studies on Photoinduced Reactions of the Anticancer Prodrug, trans,trans,trans-[Pt(N3)2(OH)2(py)2]' has been accepted in Chem. Eur. J. A collaboration between researchers at Monash and Warwick, with Robbin as the common link, has been dedicated to the memory of Prof Leone Spiccia who sadly passed away earlier this year. Despite co-supervising Robbin with Leone (along with Peter and Bayden), I never met Leone. However, I have only heard terrific things said about him. RIP Leone Spiccia.
29.12.17-Mitch's paper on trans/cis dynamics of model plant sunscreen accepted
Mitch's paper on 'Investigating isomer specific photoprotection in a model plant sunscreen' has been accepted in Chem. Comm. Many congrats to Mitch and also to the invaluable collaboration with Florent's team in AgraParisTech.
23.11.17 - Nat's paper on methyl and menthyl anthranilate accepted!
Nat's paper on 'Photophysics of the sunscreen ingredient menthyl anthranilate and its precursor methyl anthranilate: a bottom-up approach to photoprotection' has been accepted in the journal Photochemistry and Photobiology A. Many congrats to Nat, Neil and everyone involved!
