The Rainbow Company was founded in 1988 by Alan L Profit and is a specialist engineering company which uses Ultrasonic Processing Technologies, namely Ultrasonic Welding & Ultrasonic Cutting to service a number of industries e.g. automotive, defence, FMCG, food and the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2006, due to increased use of Ultrasonic Processing technologies in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, Alan L Profit decided to form Rainbow Medical Engineering Ltd with his co-Director Professor Gino Martini to handle this sector specifically.
