Reviewer Eligibility

Reviewers for AAMAS 2027 must satisfy at least one of the following: (1) hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field; or (2) be a PhD student in their third year or later with at least 3 peer-reviewed publications in relevant venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, IJCAI).

The Program Chairs and Area Chairs may also take into account prior reviewing experience and overall research maturity when selecting reviewers.

LLM Policy for Reviewers

Reviewers must treat all submissions and associated materials as strictly confidential. Under no circumstances may submission content (including text, figures, results, or code) be shared with or input into AI systems or services.

Reviewers may use AI tools for limited purposes such as proof-reading or improving the clarity of their review, provided that: (1) no confidential submission content is disclosed, and (2) the reviewer remains the sole author and takes full responsibility for the review.

The use of AI to generate substantive review content, evaluations, or scores is not permitted.

Reviewers may be asked to revise reviews that appear to be AI-generated or insufficiently grounded in the submission.

Review Timeline

• Review submission deadline: 13 November 2026
• Rebuttal period: 20–24 November 2026
• Reviewers discuss the author’s rebuttal and update their review: 25 November – 3 December 2026
• Author notification date: 21 December 2026

We strongly suggest the reviewers start reviewing early, and we suggest the reviewers complete at least 50% of the reviews by October 26th, 2026. We require the reviews to acknowledge that they read the author’s rebuttal and updated their review by December 3rd, 2026. Failing to complete the acknowledgment will be considered as not completing the review.

Flag for Desk Rejection or Ethics Violations

Once the submissions are assigned, reviewers are asked to identify papers that may be subject to desk rejection or raise ethics concerns by sending an email to aamas2027pcs@gmail.com.

Submissions may be considered for desk rejection if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

• exceed the page limit (papers must be no more than 8 pages, excluding references and appendices);
• are out of scope for the conference;
• contain severely insufficient technical content;
• violate formatting requirements;
• violate the requirements of proper usage of LLM as described in the call for papers; or
• are not properly anonymized (e.g., include author names or identifying information in the main paper or supplementary material).

Reviewing is double-blind. While it may be possible to guess the authors based on citations or prior work, this does not constitute a violation unless the submission explicitly reveals the authors’ identities.

AAMAS does not accept work that has appeared in archival publications, but submissions previously published in non-archival venues (e.g., workshops) or on preprint servers (e.g., arXiv) are allowed.

Prompt injection by authors is forbidden. If you suspect anything, please report it to the program chairs and review the rest of the paper as normal.

Authors may use generative AI tools in the preparation of their submissions (please see the Call for Papers); however, they remain fully responsible for all content, including any AI-generated material. The use of AI must not result in plagiarism, fabrication, or other forms of scientific misconduct, and all contributions must reflect the authors’ own scientific understanding and validation.

Reviewers should report any suspected cases of plagiarism, scientific misconduct, or inappropriate use of AI to the Program Chairs.

Other

Some submissions may include supplementary material; however, papers are expected to be self-contained and should not rely on appendices or supplementary material for core contributions. Reviewers are encouraged but not required to look at supplementary material.
