Ben Woodward

As an undergraduate at the university of Leicester I gained an appreciation for the development and application of sensory instruments and the proper handling of the data they generated. This lead nicely into a final year reading project on space based LIDAR (Light Imaging, Detection and Ranging) and the various issues that plagued their production and operation. Upon referral to the DST CDT, Dr. Horsfall's project appealed to me greatly owing to an enduring interest in electronics and a desire to broaden my skills and knowledge as a scientist.

Aside from materials science and electronics, I am also deeply interested in nuclear physics and plasma physics.
