I became aware that research was the path I wished to take after a summer project during my second year as an physics undergraduate at the University of Warwick. This was reaffirmed to me during the final year project of my integrated masters degree. The CDT was a good fit as it allowed me to stay at warwick where I like. Moving on to PhD at another institution I felt like it was a good fit an would allow me to expand my knowledge and world experiences. In particular the multidisciplinary nature of the course was very appealing.
