UK-QSP Training Workshop

The Quantitative Systems PharmacologyLink opens in a new window (QSP) UK Network is pleased to host a Training Workshop between the 8th - 10th July, 2026.

This workshop will bring together leading researchers in academia and industry to present and discuss how methods in Quantitative System Pharmacology (QSP) are being applied to problems in pharmacology, in connecting and informing pharmaceutical action at subcellular, cellular and higher level scales (e.g., populations).

Over an exciting and interactive 2.5 day meeting of invited and submitted talks and poster presentations, participants will also learn to work with QSP modelling software. Registration fees will cover accommodation and meal costs.

Workshop Themes

The primary themes that will be explored in the workshop include the below.

Poster and talk submissions that fall within the following themes are welcome. Abstracts should be submitted with registration (500 words).

  • Pharmacokinetic Pharmacodynamic (PKPD) modelling, mathematical theory of pharmacology, and pharmacokinetics
  • QSP modelling, model scoping, and drug development
  • Target Mediated Drug Disposition (TMDD) and Drug Development
  • Intersection of Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML) and QSP
  • Regulatory QSP
  • Model complexity and uncertainty
  • Paediatrics, viral dynamics, and anti-infective treatment
  • T-cell engager modelling
  • Regulatory perspective on model building
  • Spatial tumour modelling
  • Toxicokinetics / toxicodynamics

Registration Options (Deadline 24 June)

Full Delegate

This option includes:

  • Attendance for both days of the workshop.
  • Evening accommodation + dinner on both the 8th (Wed) and 9th (Thurs).
  • Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the workshop.

PhD / Post-doctoral researchers: £250

Academic researchers: £350

Industrial: £400

Day Delegate

This option includes:

  • Attendance for either one or both workshop days, with lunch and refreshments throughout.

*Delegates who wish to attend the Thursday dinner may purchase this as a separate add-on.


PhD / Post-doctoral researchers: £100 (both days) or £50 (one day).

Academic researchers: £160 (both days) or £80 (one day).

Industrial: £200 (both days) or £100 (one day).

Dinner add-on: £80 (both days) or £40 (one day).
 


Accommodation

There are 25 Double Ensuite rooms available at Scarman HouseLink opens in a new window.

On-campus student accommodation will also be available for student applicants at a lower price. Currently, there are 10 centrally-located student rooms available. These rooms are Single Ensuite rooms and are priced at either £50 (room only) or £65 (bed & breakfast).
