Transfer between BEng and MEng

Second year students wishing to transfer from a four year (MEng) degree to a three year (BEng/BSc) degree in order to apply for accommodation in their final year should apply to transfer by the end of week 7 at the latest. These transfers will then be processed by the School of Engineering during week 8.

First and second year transfers from a three year (BEng/BSc) degree to a four year (MEng) degree will normally be processed at the end of the academic year based on academic performance and as part of the course and module registration process, however if students have specific issues in relation to applying for internships then earlier requests for transfer will be considered.

Please use the form to request a transfer.

Module Registration - Fourth Year Students

If, following the withdrawal of ES4C6 Remote Sensing and Global Modelling or for other reasons, you are requesting that one of your standard options should be replaced by an unlisted option then you should make this clear on the Module Registration Change Form, however you should also nominate a standard module as a replacement in case the change is not agreed. If your total load is 150 Credits or less both modules will be included in your timetable (if ES modules) and in your registrations for uploading, however if your total load exceeds 150 credits the unlisted option will not be added. During week 3 Professor Price will consider these requests, the ESO will notify students of any requests that have been agreed and timetables and registrations will be updated.

Timetables Year 2, 3 and 4 - Update

All student timetables reflect departmental information on module selections as at 09:00 am Friday 27 September 2013. Most timetables were correct on Saturday 28 September 2013, but due to the time constraints a number have repeat events for activities which run on a weekly basis. When time permits these will be streamlined so bear with us. Uploading module selections to the University system has been delayed, but should be complete by the week 3 module registration change deadline.

Second Year Timetables had a few issues and should be correct by Sunday 29 September 2013. For students selecting lanuages or unusual options best fit timetables were produced taking account of the selection, but these sessions will not appear on the Engineering timetable and students will need to get the schedule from the Central Timetable or the Department offering the module. Please let the ESO have completed Unusual Option Forms for these ASAP.

Third Year Timetables gave students the best fit with their optional choices, but students need to be aware that if they change their options now there may not be laboratory spaces in the sessions that are clash free.

Fourth Year Timetables considered Engineering selections only for best fit timetables and some students may have a few lecture clashes. Only external options that are available through the Course Regulations are in the timetable; for other unlisted options students will need to get the schedule from the Central Timetable or the Department offering the module. Please let the ESO have completed Unusual Option Forms for these ASAP.
