Golder - Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer
The Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer will provide technical support to intermediate and senior levels within the Underground Infrastructure Division, assisting with both office and occasionally site based civil, structural and mining engineering work. The work will include preparation of calculations drawings and reports relating to the design of surface and subsurface structures throughout the world and on occasion assisting with structural inspections. The Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer will have the opportunity to join the Golder Associates (UK) Institution of Civil Engineers approved training scheme and will be required to learn and demonstrate key skills and competencies over their first 12 months.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a candidate with a postgraduate degree to take on research challenges in the application of robotics to support the railway industry and lead the development of an industrial scale prototype train cab front cleaning robot. This role will focus on the mechanical design challenges of the project and will work closely with another KTP associate who will focus on the control aspects of the project. This position is a 30 month fixed term contract, with a £5,000 dedicated training budget tailored towards personal development.
