Engineering Graduate Designs Revolutionary Navigation App

The pioneering app, developed by Sesinam Dagadu who is originally from Accra, Ghana, gives 8.7 millions of Ghanaians access to ambulance services, even without an internet connection. “SnooCode” allows Ghanaians to navigate using GPS pinpointing without needing traditional address system. Sesinam, founder of SnooCode, won the ‘Entrepreneurial Award’ at the British Council ‘Study UK Alumni Awards 2017’ in recognition of his achievement.

Professor Philip Mawby gives invited ‘Kun Huang’ Lecture

Professor Philip Mawby, Professor of Power Electronics – Devices, gave an invited ‘Kun Huang’ Lecture at the Institute of Semiconductors in Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, 21st November 2016. The prestigious lecture is usually given by distinguished researchers to honour the late Dr Kun Huang, who is widely regarded as the Father of Solid State Physics studies in China.
