NSFC International Scientist Award
Dr Rezania is awarded the International Scientist Award from NSFC in collaboration with Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). The collaboration with Prof Hu's team at SWJTU is on long-term deformation modelling and monitoring of slopes surrounding Baoxing reservoir.

New paper in the ICE Geotechnical Research Journal
Our paper on Warwick tensiometer development has been published in Journal of Geotechnical Research in Gold Open access (open LINK). The paper entitled "Cavitation in high-capacity tensiometers: effect of water reservoir surface roughness" disseminates the results of Meghdad Bagheri's PhD research on direct measurement of high suctions in soils and it was co-authored by Meghdad Bagheri, Mohammad Rezania and Mohad Mousavi Nezhad.
New paper in the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering
A new research paper entitled "Experimental study and numerical modeling of fracture propagation in shale rocks during Brazilian disk test" (PI: Dr Mousavi Nezhad) has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering. The work was on experimental and numerical modeling of fracture propagation in shale rocks, and it was carried out in collaboration with Prof Quentin Fisher of University of Leeds.
