Terms and Conditions
Please read this section carefully and ensure that you understand the conditions of the scholarship you have applied for.
You are required to accept an unconditional offer to receive the award by 01 August 2025. The University of Warwick reserves the right to withdraw your scholarship if you are subsequently found to be ineligible or if these terms and conditions are not adhered to.
The University of Warwick also reserves the right to amend its scholarship without notice.
Recipients of the scholarship will be asked to act as course ambassadors by engaging with the School of Engineering in the following ways:
1)Act as a Student Staff Liaison Committee member
2)Engage in promotional activities of the programmes (i.e. PG Live Chat, Events)
3)Provide student testimonials
Confidentiality
The University of Warwick is committed to protecting the privacy rights of individuals who entrust the University with their personal data. The Data Protection Policy outlines the University’s commitment to transparency, accountability, promoting good information governance, and compliance with both the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Disbursement Process
Scholarships will be applied to student tuition and managed by the School of Engineering’s Finance office.
*Please note, if a home student receives a Taught Masters Scholarship from the University of Warwick, they are ineligible from receiving an additional award from the School of Engineering.
Publicity and Recognition
We will ensure that recipients are aware of how their information may be used for promotional purposes.
Confidentiality via Opt-In/Opt-Out Provision:
We will allow scholarship recipients to indicate whether they are comfortable with their names, photos, and other information being shared publicly. Provide an option for recipients to opt-out of any publicity if they prefer to maintain their privacy.
Public Announcements:
The university plans to make public announcements regarding scholarship recipients. This may include publishing their names in university newsletters, press releases, or on the university's website.
Social Media and Marketing:
The university intends to feature scholarship recipients on its official social media channels or in marketing materials.
Compliance with GDPR:
We are committed to complying with applicable privacy laws and regulations when publicizing or recognizing scholarship recipients. Ensure that any dissemination of personal information is done in accordance with established privacy policies.
