Ash is an experienced industry leader, specialising in product development, commercialisation and scale-up, with a focus on health tech, medical devices, scientific instruments, and manufacturing automation. With 25 years of experience spanning executive leadership, advisory roles, and hands-on design and development, Ash has built a diverse career across a range of businesses, including publicly listed OEMs, consultancies, and contract design and manufacturing. He has successfully led numerous companies through the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to full-scale commercialisation.

Ash is a passionate advocate for business support initiatives and holds several non-executive and advisory board positions, including with Medilink Midlands and Midlands Engine - Health. He helps shaping the strategic direction of businesses to enable them realise their full potential, while driving sector growth and contributing to the broader economic development of the UK.

He is currently the Chief Executive of Ingenious HealthTech, offering development, commercialisation, and scale-up of health tech solutions, with a particular focus on technologies for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and long-term conditions. Prior to this, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Technology Lead of Nemaura Medical, where he played a key role in the development and commercialisation of a non-invasive continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor and its associated diabetes management programme, supported by significant investment from the UK and US. He also brings over a decade of experience in contract design and manufacturing, having served as the Technical Director.

Ash holds a PhD in Optical Biosensors from the University of Warwick, combining expertise in biology and electronics across the Schools of Engineering and Life Sciences. He also holds an MSc with distinction in Control Systems and AI, along with a first-class BSc in Electronics.
