Funding Success! The Productivity & Futures of Work GRP Small Grant Scheme

ABSPIE Doctoral Researcher Busola Oronti, successfully applied to the Productivity & Futures of Work GRP Small Grant Scheme to organise a workshop with the aim of bringing together academics, clinicians, students, technocrats, and hobbyists with a background in AI and healthcare research in fields such as biomedical engineering (BME), ethics, life sciences, computer science, mathematics, and law, in contact with students and teaching and research staff from the Warwick Medical School in order to raise awareness and understanding of the issues at stake in the deployment of AI in healthcare and medicine. The title of the workshop is:

 ‘AI in healthcare: a closer look at interdisciplinarity for improved innovation in future clinical and work practices.’

This is the first ever collaborative workshop between the schools of engineering and medicine and the WMG at Warwick on AI in healthcare and medicine. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with Dr. Mark Elliot (WMG), Dr. Louise Davis and Marcus Thevarajan (WMS), and Dr. Davide Piaggio and Dr. Haleem Salman (ABSPIE lab).
