Previously he has worked six years in Medical Devices industry, in the field of respiratory technology and blood gas analysis.

In the Academic area, from 2015 he works as  a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at International Burch University (http://www.ibu.edu.ba). Along with his team, he established the first Bachelor, Master and PhD degree program of Bioengineering in the country. He is also working as a Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy Sarajevo, University of Sarajevo (http://www.ffsa.unsa.ba) in the field of Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering and Expert Systems and as a Laboratory Associate at University of Warwick, UK.

In 2014, he founded and has become the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical and Biological Engineering Society (http://www.dmbiubih.org) which is country representative of IFMBE and EAMBES. This Society had organized in 2015, 2017 and 2019 respectively International Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering (CMBEBIH) (http://www.cmbebih.com), which gathered more than 700 participants from 40 different countries worldwide. He is the Board member of IEEE TC on Cardiopulmonary Systems, Steering Committee Member at IEEE Standards, Board member of ESEM (EU organization for Educating Students in Engineering and Medicine), Board member of IFMBE Clinical Engineering Division, Member of Coordination Team in IEEE Standards for Region 8, Treasurer and Councilor for Regulatory Affairs in EAMBES (European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science).
