Paperbox Health S.R.L. Overview
Paperbox Health S.R.L. is a forward-thinking health technology company dedicated to creating digital solutions to address neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on learning disabilities such as dyslexia. They develop tools aimed at early identification and ongoing monitoring of these conditions in children, working in collaboration with clinical and academic partners. Their mission centers on enhancing accessibility and accuracy in screening for neurodevelopmental challenges to support children’s cognitive and educational development from an early age.
Dino Gaming Platform: Purpose and Development
Paperbox Health’s primary product is the Dino Gaming Platform, a game-based application developed for children between the ages of 5 and 7. The platform is designed to screen for learning disorders, utilizing interactive gameplay to assess various cognitive skills such as memory, attention, and processing speed. By transforming screening tasks into an engaging experience, Dino provides a non-intrusive approach to collecting data on cognitive development, allowing for a more accurate assessment of learning disabilities, particularly in young children.
Dino consists of a series of games featuring a character named Dino, with each game targeting specific skills relevant to identifying potential learning challenges. The results from these games are analyzed to generate detailed reports, enabling healthcare professionals, educators, and parents to better understand the child’s cognitive profile. Currently, Dino is available in Italian, with an English version in development to reach a broader international audience.
Target Audience and Real-World Applications
The Dino platform is aimed at healthcare providers, educational institutions, and parents who seek an early screening tool for neurodevelopmental disorders. By providing a structured, gamified method of evaluation, it aligns with the needs of both healthcare and educational settings, where early detection of learning challenges is crucial. Paperbox Health is working with regulatory bodies to position Dino as a certified Class IIa medical device, ensuring it meets stringent health and safety standards.
Partnerships and Future Directions
Paperbox Health collaborates with institutions like the University of Warwick to enhance the Dino platform’s functionality and ensure compliance with European and UK healthcare regulations. This partnership also supports real-world testing, including in school environments, to validate Dino’s efficacy and refine it based on practical use cases. The company aims to expand Dino’s capabilities and explore integration with Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) in the future, positioning the platform as a comprehensive tool for early diagnosis and monitoring within healthcare and educational frameworks.
