RAEng Research Fellowships - Internal Selection
Deadline: 17 May by 5PM
Details
The RAEng Fellowship aims to accelerate research careers of exceptional early-career researchers (with <4 years research post-doctoral experience) who demonstrate potential to become leaders in their field of engineering.
The Fellowship provides salary costs for five years, during which Fellows lead an ambitious research project, typically with support from a PhD student attached to the project. Available funding for each fellowship cannot exceed £625,000. This means that successful applicants will normally be appointed at spine point 37 on Grade 7.
The university is limited to a total of four applications (two automatic + two from the positive-action initiative). As such, R&IS will coordinate an internal selection process.
Further details will be updated following RAEng's announcement for this academic year.
Eligibility
Primarily for postdoctoral researchers, but researchers with permanent contracts may apply (TBC).
- Applicants must have completed a PhD by the date of the deadline.
- Applicants must have no more than 4 years post-PhD research experience.
- External applicants are eligible to apply (see below).
