Triple Jets

SET-UP

The triple-jet flow represents the flow used to cool components within nuclear reactor systems and has been investigated in Choi & Kim (2007). The experimental set-up dimensions is shown in the figures below.

CFD simulations of this flow have been set-up using the NEAT code of Prof. Paul Tucker. The zip file below contains all of the files necessary to run the triple jet simulations.

20/12/08: As requested by Yongmann, an identical code set-up but with only the central jet can be downloaded below:

The following files should be noted:

- tjetnew3.f: The main source code. This needs to be compiled before running

- neatcomnew.inp: The input file which contains the running parameters for a brand new simulation

- neatcom.inp: As above but allows the simulation to carry on from where it left off.

Some initial qualitative results showing the general flow from the jet have been produced and a movie can be downloaded from below:
