Life Sciences in Space

In October 2021, Katie Savva attended the 72nd International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Dubai to present a paper as lead author. The research, conducted in altered gravity conditions, was part of the European Space Agency's Spin your Thesis! scheme.

London Grows Wild Exhibition

Two of our undergraduate students, Amanpreet Kalsi and Luca Plado gained grants to put together UK native plants and fungi-inspired creations for the London Grows Wild Together exhibition launched on 16 September.

Jasmin

Women Who Achieve Award nomination

Jasmin Kaur, a biochemistry student, was nominated for a Woman Who Achieves Award in 2020. The Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in business and rising stars in education or training. Jasmin's nomination recognised her work setting up UniAssist. UniAssist is a social mobility programme dedicated to supporting students from non-traditional backgrounds to enter higher education.
