Before you arrive at Warwick
Before you arrive at Warwick there are a number of things you will need to do to complete your registration.
- Unconditional offer
It is important for you to have received (and accepted) an unconditional offer of a place at Warwick before your start date. If you haven't yet received an unconditional offer please ensure that any conditions set out in your offer email are satisfied as soon as possible.
- Upload a photo for your University ID Card
Enrolment is the term used to describe the official registration as a student at the University of Warwick. Online enrolment opens approximately 4-6 weeks before the start of term and should be completed before you arrive at the University.
Once you have enrolled you can apply for your IT Services account.
If you will be receiving a stipend via the University, please ensure that you enter your bank details (you will need to have completed enrolment before you can enter your bank details).
Visit this webpage for a schedule of when the in-person visa checks and Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) collection will take place for new international students subject to immigration control in the UK, during the main arrival period.
Please be aware that you must attend one of these events to complete your enrolment at the University.
Postgraduate Welcome Events
- The Welcome to Warwick webpages will provide all the information you need before you arrive at Warwick from enrolment and fees to accommodation, packing your belongings and arriving on campus.
During Welcome Week, we run a fantastic programme of events and activities in partnership with the Students' Union, designed to help you settle in, make friends and adapt to life at Warwick.
You will be able to view the timetable of events in late August.
Welcome to Warwick Pack
All new postgraduate research students will be sent a Welcome Pack from the Graduate School in late August/ early September. The packs are designed to offer new students a clear and cohesive set of information and guidance about preparing for and making the most of student life at Warwick. All information contained in the pack is also available on the Welcome to Warwick webpages.
My course starts on or after Saturday 22 September 2018 and I am going to be living on-campus
If you are going to be living in on-campus accommodation, we will pair your Warwick ID Card up with your accommodation key so that you receive them at the same time. Please follow the arrival instructions provided by Warwick Accommodation.
If for any reason you do not receive your Warwick ID Card when you collect your key, please email email@example.com
My course starts on or after Saturday 22 September 2018 and I am going to be living off-campus
If you are going to be living off-campus (even if this is in University-managed accommodation) we will be setting up a card collection point at Student Reception, Senate House. This will be open every day from Saturday 22 September to Tuesday 2 October 2018 between 8am and 11pm. After Tuesday 2 October, you can collect your Warwick ID Card from Student Reception in Senate House during their normal opening hours.
Life Sciences will allow time on the morning of 1 October 2018 for collection of University cards.
- You will receive a welcome letter/email from the School of Life Sciences' Education and Support Services Team advising you where to go on day 1 and the plan for your first few days.
