Two Warwick mathematicians on the REF 2029 panel
Two researchers from Warwick Mathematics Institute have been awarded to the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2029) panels, recognising their expertise and leadership.
As previously reported, Professor John Greenlees has been appointed as a chair of 'Sub-panel 10: Mathematical Sciences' for REF 2029. Joining him on that panel will be Professor Andreas Kyprianou.
As panel members, they will provide specialist insight and assess research quality across UK higher education. REF plays a vital role in shaping the distribution of quality-related funding—currently around £2 billion annually—to support world-class research in universities.
These two WMI researchers are part of a cohort of 17 Warwick academics appointed to contribute to all four main REF panels: Medicine, Health and Life Sciences; Physical Sciences, Engineering and Mathematics; Social Sciences; and Arts and Humanities. See the full list on the University's news page.
