Mak Pehar

Hi there! Welcome to my (preliminary/initial draft of a) webpage.

I'm Mak (they/them), a first year PhD student at the University of Warwick, under the supervision of Martin Gallauer. Before that, I was at the University of Edinburgh, where I did my Bachelor's and Master's between 2020 and 2025.

Overall, my interests lie in the intersections between algebraic geometry and homotopy theory. Usually, this entails either some form of derived or spectral algebraic geometry, or various relevant aspects of homotopy theory (chromatic, motivic, and étale to name a few aspects I'm interested in).

Feel free to get in touch with me at !
