Mak Pehar

Hi there!

I'm Mak (they/them), a first year PhD student at the University of Warwick, under the supervision of Martin Gallauer. Before that, I was at the University of Edinburgh, where I did my Bachelor's and Master's between 2020 and 2025.

Overall, my interests lie in the intersections between algebraic geometry and homotopy theory. Currently this entails a major interest in étale and equivariant homotopy theory, but I'm also interested in derived/spectral algebraic geometry, and various other relevant aspects of homotopy theory (chromatic & motivic for instance).

Feel free to get in touch with me at !
