2014-2015 Warwick EPSRC Symposium: Geometry from Stability Conditions

16-20 February 2015

Organisers: Arend Bayer, Tom Bridgeland

A week long conference.

Scope: Applications of the theory of stability conditions to results in algebraic geometry. A particular focus will be on applications to the birational geometry of moduli spaces, and on potential connections to the Gross-Siebert programme via wall-crossing and mirror symmetry. For details, see

http://www.maths.ed.ac.uk/~abayer/2014-wrsym/04-stability.html

Speakers: Aaron Bertram (Utah), Izzet Coskun (UIC), Mark Gross (Cambridge), Jack Huizenga (UIC), Akishi Ikeda (Tokyo), Kohei Iwaki (Kyoto), Chunyi Li (Edinburgh), Antony Maciocia (Edinburgh), Emanuele Macrì (Ohio State), Howard Nuer (Rutgers), Dulip Piyaratne (IPMU), Ivan Smith (Cambridge), Paolo Stellari (Milano), Jacopo Stoppa (Pavia), Yukinobu Toda (IMPU), Kota Yoshioka (Kobe), Qiu Yu (NTNU)

Concentration period:

Surrounding the workshop, from February 8 until February 27, there will be a three week concentration period on connections between birational geometry and stability conditions. Everyone is invited to attend.
