School on Bridgeland Stability

16-20 December 2019

Organiser: Miles Reid

This is a small-scale school organised in consultation with Bridgeland and LI Chun'yi, featuring 8-10 speakers from UK, US and Russia, and restricted to around 30 student participants. The confirmed speakers include Arend Bayer (Edinburgh), LI Chun'yi (Warwick), Soheyla Feyzbakhsh (Imperial), Aaron Bertram (Utah), Alex Perry (Columbia), Emanuele Macri (Princeton IAS) and Sasha Kuznetsov (Steklov Inst., Moscow). The two main purposes of the meeting are to produce a substantive treatment of Bridgeland stability in book form, and to understand and develop the ideas in LI Chun'yi's Inventiones paper, that contains a breakthrough proof of the existence of stability conditions on any nonsingular quintic 3-fold.

Travel and accommodation will mostly be paid from the Warwick node of 3CinG, http://geometry.ma.ic.ac.uk/3CinG/
