Geometry and Topology Reading Seminar 2010/11

Reading Seminar on Ending Lamination Theorem

Summer 2011

The Reading Seminar on the Ending Lamination Theorem will take place from 10 am to 12 am. See the next tables for the details about the participants and the rooms. The goal is to understand the paper End Invariants and the Classification of Hyperbolic 3-Manifolds by Yair Minsky. We will use also the book Outer Circles by Albert Marden. Essential background material will be the article A crash course on Kleinian groups by Caroline Series. All are welcome. See here for information about other Geometry and Topology activities at Warwick.

Directions to the University are available here. The Mathematics institute is in the Zeeman Building, which is number 37 on the map available here. Warning: The University of Warwick is not in the town of Warwick, but on the outskirts of Coventry - the correct train stations are Coventry or Leamington Spa (closer if coming from Oxford).
