Designing learning and assessment in a digital age: Online guide

JISC is pleased to announce the launch of Designing learning and assessment in a digital age, a new online guide to technology-enhanced curriculum design for higher education, FE and skills.

This comprehensive guide brings together in one resource the most significant outputs from a decade of research and development around technology-enhanced curriculum and learning design and the most up-to-date exemplars of good practice in designing learning and assessment in a digital context.

Learning design is a considered, creative process that occurs within a wider eco-system of people, processes, systems and places. As the elements in the eco-system change, and the technologies available to us increase, it becomes ever more important to keep up to date.

Taking an appreciative inquiry approach as its starting point, you will find Designing learning and assessment in a digital age incorporates short accessible guidance to keep you informed and a wealth of ideas, expert viewpoints and resources to help you make faster progress towards your digital learning goals. This guidance is supported by case studies, audio and video resources plus links to further information about the services JISC offer to institutions across the sector.

JISC are running a workshop on the 20th March, focusing on data-informed blended learning design and more information is available from https://www.jisc.ac.uk/events/data-informed-blended-learning-design-workshop-20-mar-2018

To keep informed of future developments and events related to learning design, join the Learning Design Cross Institutional Network @ LEARNINGDESIGN@JISCMAIL.AC.UK and follow https://sites.google.com/site/learningdesignsig/home

JISC also welcome your feedback on the guide to inform future iterations. Please email any comments to Sarah.knight@jisc.ac.uk
