iCASE studentship application form 2025

Important Information:

As progress on the below application form cannot be saved prior to submission, it is recommended that you complete your application in a word processing application (Microsoft Word, Google Docs), and copy and paste the relevant information into the appropriate boxes within the application form below.

Applications close on 30th November 2024.

Please note - after submitting your application by clicking the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page, please scroll back down to the bottom of the page in order to request a copy of your application via e-mail (we recommend all applicants request a copy of their application for their records).


Essential Application Documentation:

Please ensure that you attach your transcripts for your Undergraduate and (where relevant) Masters Degrees, which outline all modules and grades for the aforementioned qualifications.

Although not mandatory, we encourage all applicants to attach a CV to their application, in order to provide the selection panel with further details of any academic, professional or volunteering experience which may be of relevance to your application. Personal information (similar to the information provided in questions 1 to 9, and 18 onwards) will be removed from all CVs before they are handed to the selection panel at the shortlisting stage.


We are currently accepting applications from home and international applicants

International applicants will be asked to attach their English language certificate in the application form below. We are unable to consider applications without an English certificate at the required level.

International applicants: the English language requirement for this course is for an overall IELTS (Academic UKVI) score of 6.5 with a score of at least 6.5 in the Reading and Writing components and no other component score below 6.0.

Widening Participation

Please only complete these questions if you completed your secondary education in the UK.

Unfortunately we do not currently have a set of criteria that can be used for students educated outside the UK. If you did not complete your secondary education in the UK please go straight to question 30. 

The following questions are optional and will help us identify which of our applicants are from a widening participation (WP) background. We are asking for this information for 3 reasons:
i) To help us monitor the diversity of our applicants and how well we are reaching applicants from WP backgrounds.

ii)So that we can identify candidates from WP backgrounds and give them additional consideration when assessing applications.

iii)To identify which applicants from WP backgrounds wish to be considered for a ring-fenced studentship for a WP student.

Only the information in fields 9 to 19 will be made available to staff considering applications at the shortlisting stage of the recruitment process, and only the information in fields 1 to 19 to those involved in the interviewing stage of the recruitment process, as well as which applicants are flagged as a WP applicant and/or wish to be considered for a ring-fenced studentship.   All other information will be removed from the application form by the administrative team, and is being gathered for monitoring purposes and to identify which applicants which to be considered for ring-fenced studentships.  See the top of this form for further details.
