Stephanie Yardley

By studying a Physics degree at Warwick not only did I discover my enthusiasm for Astrophysics, but I also gained the problem solving, computational data analysis and leadership skills that are essential for pursuing a career in academic research. I am adamant that the additional opportunities offered, for example the summer research projects, and the extensive support from numerous members of staff in the department throughout my degree are the reasons behind my success in academia. I also gained fundamental real-life experiences through engaging in many clubs and societies at the University, particularly through undertaking multiple roles on the executive committee of the Warwick Sub-Aqua Club (Scuba diving and Underwater Hockey). I believe that this is the combination of these skills and experiences at Warwick that have not only defined my career path but also the person I am today.
