UHCW Visit - 18th January
There will be a visit for any Physics students and staff who would like to see the medical physics facilities in our local hospital: UHCW (University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire). The University Hospital is on the northern side of Coventry and is a major clinical imaging and radiotherapy centre.
This is a chance to learn about the application of physics to medicine including:
- career opportunities in Medical Physics
- an opportunity to meet & ask questions of medical physicists
- tours of the equipment which may include radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, MRI & X-ray
The visit will be from 6.30-8.30pm on Thursday 18th January 2024 with a coach leaving from the Warwick Physics Department at 6pm and bringing people back, leaving at 8.30pm.
