Warwick spinout, Stoli Catalysts, wins €1.2m to halve the cost of making medicines, vitamins and food supplements

Stoli Catalysts, a spin-out company from the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick has been awarded €1.2m (£1.1m) from the European Innovation Council (EIC) SME Instrument scheme to design, build and test a small-scale pilot plant to make medicines, vitamins and food supplements at much lower cost and more sustainably using its patented continuous flow catalytic reactor technology.

Disruptive 2D mass spectrometry spin-out secures seed investment

Verdel Instruments Ltd - a spin-out company of the University of Warwick UK – has developed new disruptive two-dimensional mass spectrometry (2DMS) technology and raised seed investment of over £230,000 from Longwall Ventures and Innovate UK.

 


Online tool for carers in Coventry and Warwickshire unveiled to politicians

Local carers have met with politicians to demonstrate a new tool to help them deal with the daily challenges of life when caring for friend or loved one.

 

The Rt Hon Jeremy Wright QC MP Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and Member of Parliament for Kenilworth and Southam, and Matt Western MP, Member of Parliament for Warwick and Leamington, were present for the launch of the Care Companion on 26 April at Stratford Hospital. The Care Companion is a new online support tool developed by Warwick Medical School, at the University of Warwick, to support people with caring responsibilities across Warwickshire and Coventry.
