Warwick EPP Graduate Teaching - Computing

Warwick and Birmingham provide a joint Linux/C++ course for all new particle physics postgraduate students in the two groups.  The course is written and delivered by Mark Slater from Birmingham and Ben Morgan, Andrew Bennieston and Tom Latham from Warwick.  This year the course will be split over 4 days:

2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd November 2010

The topics covered by the 4 days will be:

Day 1: Basic Linux use and C/C++ programming
Day 2: C++ programming
Day 3: Classes and basic Object Oriented (OO) ideas, implementation in C++
Day 4: OO programming in C++, inheritance and polymorphism, STL.
