Prof. Robin C. Ball
Research interests
Statistical physics with emphasis on self-organising systems. Examples include fractal aggregates, polymer microstructures and protein folding, dynamics of fracture and granular and colloidal materials.
Fermions as an emergent phenomenon.
See Theoretical Physics Research Group for more detail and for my theory colleagues.
Complexity Science
I am a member of Warwick's Centre for Complexity Science, which includes the Doctoral Training Centre in Complexity Science (now Math Sys and Directed by Prof Robert MacKay), and has associated a wider research network the Warwick Complexity Complex ..
