BDS Optional Module selection

This form is for MSc Behavioural & Data Science students who are entering the course in 2026/27.

Due to limited capacity on certain modules, and complexities of timetabling a large number of optional modules, we require students to indicate their optional module preferences in advance.

Please complete this form to let us know your choices. This form will be open from soon and will close on at the end of week 2. The provisional timetable for 26/27 is available hereLink opens in a new window, You will need to check that your options do not clash with any core lectures.

When selecting your optional modules, please consider:

  • Timing of lectures - you can view the timetable in the link above. Where there are multiple seminars or practical sessions, we will do our best to accommodate you in appropriate groups, but the level of optionality means that we need choices early to work to accommodate these.
  • Timing of assessments and workload – Please consider your workload when considering your options. So that you can consider the timing of assessments and the implications this will have on your workload, please take a look at the BDS Assessed work deadlinesLink opens in a new window

Requests will be processed in the order they are received. While we aim to accommodate students’ preferred choices wherever possible, capacity and scheduling constraints mean we may not be able to guarantee a place on all selections.
