Social Inclusion Group
Social Inclusion at the University of Warwick is about removing economic, social and cultural barriers that have prevented people from working, studying, and succeeding.
The University’s Social Inclusion Strategy was launched in August 2019 as a framework to deliver the ambition of a place where everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential and to be recognised as best in class in our approach to equality, diversity, and inclusion, for staff and students by 2030.

Athena Swan
The Athena Swan charter supports the advancement of gender equality within higher education institutions and research. It represents a commitment to advancing the careers of women, particularly within STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine): addressing inequalities and barriers to progression.
Our Athena Swan initiatives are led by our Self-Assessment Team (SAT) and supported by Athena Swan Champions in 16 working groups. In 2022, we achieved the Silver Award.

Tackling Racial Inequality
Find out more about this university-funded programme, launched in 2020. The programme aims to equip academic and professional services staff with the knowledge and practical tools to engage with anti-racist practices and pedagogy within and outside the classroom, and to challenge racial inequality at the University of Warwick at both individual and institutional levels.
