| 3.10pm - 4.30pm | What do Quants do? with Dr Charles Martinez and Dr Andy Ferguson This session is to inform students about what the modern quant role entails and help to make decisions that are well aligned with this career path from the start of the degree. Part of the session is intended to provide a practical hands-on feel on how projects are carried out: from problem setting to discussing the key modelling aspects, breaking down the project into smaller chunks and validating each step with technical considerations and caveats. |

| 5.10pm-5.40pm | Recruitment with Mike Coe This session is about how to make yourself stand out and appeal to recruiters;
the skillset that the modern Quant needs and any extra-curriculars that students can do beyond their course to be competitive and stand out.
