R Project Sprint 2023

The R Project Sprint 2023 is a 3-day event for novice and experienced R contributors to work collaboratively on the development and maintenance of the open source statistical software R. Full details of the event are on the R Project Sprint 2023 website.

Anyone interested in contributing to R is welcome to nominate themselves for a place at the sprint. Thanks to our sponsors, all workshop participants will be accommodated free of charge during the sprint, in on-campus housing at the University of Warwick, with meals provided.

Funding is also available for travel expenses, however if participants are able to get travel funding from other sources this will allow more people to attend - companies or other funding bodies providing such support to participants will be acknowledged as sponsors.

This is a form to nominate yourself to participate in the R Project Sprint 2023 and to apply for travel funding, if required. It is not a registration form - participants will be selected from the nominations received according to space and funding available.


Funding is available for travel, to be reimbursed on the basis of receipts, or to be booked directly by Warwick University's travel management company. This would cover economy return travel from your place of residence to the campus.

If participants are able to get travel funding from other sources this will allow more people to attend - companies or other funding bodies providing such support to participants will be acknowledged as sponsors.

If you are unable to travel to the UK and wish to be considered for remote only participation, please check this box.

The University of Warwick will process your personal data provided on this online registration form for the purpose(s) of administering and facilitating your attendance at the R Project Sprint 2023.

The legal basis for processing this personal data is consent.  You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting h.turner.1@warwick.ac.uk.  However, if you do so then we will not be able to consider your application for a place at this event.

Your personal data will not be transferred outside of the UK, will be kept securely by the University of Warwick and will be retained for a period of six months after the event has taken place.
