Gianmarco Del Pino
I am a first year student at the Statistics CDT, working under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Kyprianou, under whom I completed my Master's thesis on the Lamperti Transform.
Furthermore, I am involved in the MathRad project, as well as UKAEA's LIBRTI programme. Currently, we are working towards the development of a stochastic model for the Tritium breeding cycle within nuclear fusion reactors, which is thought to be the powerhouse of future energy sources.
This year I have been taking part in the reading group on the Gaussian Multiplicative Chaos.
Aside from my academics studies, I enjoy practicing sports - for the most part running and football.
