I am a 1th year PhD student in Statistics under the supervision of Dr Sebastian Vollmer (DFKI: German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence) and Dr Gechun Liang (University of Warwick).
My summer project will investigate how RL off-policy algorithms can be employed to disentangle and act upon (with a model update) the inherent nature of predictive scores being ‘victims of their own success’, in the context of sequential decision-making settings (e.g. healthcare).
Previously, I’ve obtained a Bsc in Economics and Finance at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) and I’ve spent an exchange semester at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Viña del Mar, Chile). After that, I completed a PGDip and a MSc in Actuarial Science at the University of Kent (Canterbury, UK).
I participated to the Summer School in "Reinforcement Learning - From Theory to Practice" and "Mathematics of Machine Learning" at the Alan Turing Institute in 2021.
