The enrolment deadline for the international programmes is Wednesday 20 August 2025

By this deadline you are required to have met all of the conditions of your offer by no later than this date and be enrolled onto the programme.

Once enrolled you will have access to course materials which include asynchronous induction material and activities.

Read Needs Identified sent by the Centre for Teacher Education.	This is completed by the interviewing Teaching Fellow and gives advice on areas to study in readiness for the programme
Complete and send Confirmation of Understanding form	On-line form: International Programmes - Confirmation of Understanding (warwick.ac.uk)
Meet all conditions detailed in the offer from PGTeam2.	Look out for emails from cte.admissions@warwick.ac.uk reminding you of your conditions and contact us with any queries.
Pay your Deposit for the programme	Please refer to your offer letter which provides the deadline for deposit payment

Offer conditions

All offer conditions must be met in advance of the enrolment deadline: Wednesday 20 August 2025 Please make sure you check your latest offer update from pgt2@warwick.ac.uk to confirm which conditions you have left to meet before your offer becomes unconditional.
Apply for the ICPC Certificate - IQTS Routes Only	If you have ever lived or worked in the UK, you will be required to obtain and provide evidence of an International Child Protection Certificate - for information on how to obtain this follow this link: ACRO PLEASE NOTE: These checks can take time to process from the issuing body so please apply for this check as soon as possible once you are in receipt of an offer stating that the ICPC check is required
Provide degree	If requested in offer. Although you may have provided a scan of this document, please remember if you have an offer for our IQTS programme, an attested copyLink opens in a new window is required to meet this condition.
Provide Maths GCSE (or equivalent) - PGCEi Primary and PGCE iQTS Primary and Secondary Only	If requested in offer. Although you may have provided a scan of this document, please remember if you have an offer for our IQTS programme, an attested copyLink opens in a new window is required to meet this condition.
Provide Science GCSE (or equivalent) - PGCE iQTS Primary Only	If requested in offer. Although you may have provided a scan of this document, please remember, an attested copyLink opens in a new window is required to meet this condition.
Provide evidence of completed current studies (like a Masters, or similar)	I requested in offer. All previous studies have to be shown to be completed before the start date of the course.
Provide evidence of Grade C at A level	If requested in offer
English language proficiency (if non native English speaking applicant)	Please upload a scan of the appropriate English Language Test evidence to your applicant portal.
Provide at least two appropriate References	Via the postgraduate application portal - if you added your referees contact email addresses here we will have written to them requesting a suitable reference.

Asynchronous Activities

Additional asynchronous activities must be completed during this Foundation/Induction period including creating a Mini Bio.

Mini Bio activity

Begin to reflect on your own journey and the touchstones that brought you into teacher training. You should complete this by Thursday 28th August. Have a look through the staff examples below to give you some ideas of how you might structure your journey.

You might also want to think about these questions:

Was there a critical incident which led you to being here today?
Have you thought about your career choice in relation to your values and beliefs?

You will find more information about the activity and instructions on where to upload the mini bio on the Pre-foundation week activities Mini Bio page in Moodle once you have been given access to it.

Partnership Agreement and School Confirmation of Understanding - iQTS Only

Please ensure that your Placement School completes the confirmation of understanding form and uploads the required documentation at the below link.

The form must be completed by the school, not he offer holder, and they must also upload:

A signed copy of the Partnership Agreement
A copy of the Mentor CV

This will enable us to clear the Partnership Agreement condition from your offer, allow us to gather information about your mentor, and gain confirmation from your placement school that they understand what is required when supporting a trainee on this programme.

School Confirmation of Understanding - PGCEi Only Second Placement - iQTS Only

For the PGCE-iQTS programme, the iQTS component requires trainees to gain experience in a second context. Ideally, this would be in the age range above or below the one in which you are training. During the course you will be asked to secure experience in alternative context/s and or settings. The length of this second placement will be determined by the amount of prior experience you have obtained before joining the iQTS programme, but at a minimum you will be expected to gain at least one weeks experience. Virtual or remote training experiences may be appropriate. If undertaking a second placement will require a period of leave of absence, this should be agreed with your employer before enrolling on the course. Previous experience prior to starting the course may be acceptable in meeting these conditions. These conditions do not apply to the PGCEi course.

Fees and Funding

* The In Person Assessment route will incur a one off, non-refundable payment of £700.00 (paid separately to other course fees)

The assessment fee will be due ahead of the assessment period for those on the in person assessment route, and must be paid before the assessment can be undertaken. The department will contact trainees to confirm the payment arrangements in the Spring term

If you opt topay your fees in instalments, the following is an example of the fee schedule:

If your placement school will be paying your programme fees, you will need to ensure you provide sponsorship information when you enrol.

Applicants for iQTS are not eligible for loans, bursaries or any other type of financial support from the Department for Education and Student Finance England to help cover the costs of studying for iQTS.

There may be extra costs on top of the tuition fee, such as classroom resources and travel costs.

Safeguarding Check Costs

The entry requirements for this programme includes various checks.

Attestation and translations of any ID and qualification documents, as well as any local regulatory or police checks, will be at your own cost.  If you have ever lived or worked in the UK, you will also be required to apply and pay for an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC)

Computing requirements

A computing device with a browser and strong and reliable broadband internet access is required for the course. A webcam will be required during all live taught sessions. The university provides central guidance on the recommended specification for any device you use to undertake your academic work.

Assessment Visit Payment (For In Person Assessment ONLY)

A one off assessment fee of £700 will be charged to those on the In Person Assessment route. This amount is separate to the course fees.
You will be contacted ahead of the assessment period to pay this fee in one instalment.

Logging into your sessions

The majority of live online sessions will be delivered via the online virtual classroom/meeting space Kaltura. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with how to access and use this platform by reading the information provided here. A few key points to remember are:

Web browsers Chrome and Firefox must be used to used to access the platform. Other browsers do not support the connectivity required
On your first visit to a virtual classroom you will be given a short activity to test your camera and microphone settings. We therefore recommend logging into your first session 10-15 minutes early to give yourself time for this. Induction timetables will be shared soon.
Please login in the first instance with your camera and mic switched off. In particular when we are in lectures with the whole cohort present many mics/cameras on can interfere with connectivity.
You will be prompted to enter a screen name on entry to a room. To allow us to track your attendance at sessions please ensure you enter your full name when prompted
