IT accounts for applicants

The slimmed down account won’t provide services such as Warwick email, WiFi, student facing web pages, eJournals or other services where there is an expectation that the user will be a current student; in general services won’t be available to applicants unless they’re explicitly included by the service provider.

Applicants who use their IT account prior to their arrival at Warwick will continue to use the same username and password throughout any period of study at Warwick. Once registered the account will remain active until the end of their study or until their application is concluded. When an applicant is marked on SITS as a student waiting to enrol, a full range of ITS services for students will be added to their account, and it will be linked to their home academic department and course of study.

The services provided to applicants may increase over time but for the foreseeable future it will remain focused on a limited range of services. If you have any queries about the change then please contact the IT Services helpdesk.
