Welcome to Warwick Law in the Community (LinC)
Warwick LinC cultivates opportunities for students to gain practical experience in law while also making a meaningful contribution to our community locally, nationally and internationally.
We seek to develop mutually beneficial long-term relationships and projects with organisations that share our values. We offer opportunities in more traditional forms of legal advice and practice, but we also look beyond these to expose students to alternative ways of doing and thinking about law, including writing, research and journalism, advocacy, education and digital technology.
Currently LinC offers student volunteering opportunities through our Strategic Public Law Clinic projects and the Immigration and Asylum Clinic which run throughout the year in conjunction with Central England Law Centre. Our Public Legal Education Module offers opportunities to work on community-based projects.
Over the last year, 60 student volunteers have contributed to LinC projects. This includes 29 volunteers through Strategic Public Law Clinic, 15 students volunteering through our arrangement with the Immigration and Asylum Team at the CELC and 16 students completing a range of community-based projects through our Public Legal Education Module
