Professor Sharifah Sekalala wins the Feminist Legal Studies Editor's Article Prize 2024

Sharifah Sekalala

We are delighted to share that Professor Sharifah Sekalala, Professor at Warwick Law School and Dr Ania Zbyszewska, Assistant Professor at Carleton University have won the Feminist Legal Studies Editor's Article Prize 2024 for their research ‘Towards a Feminist Geo-legal Ethic of Caring Within Medical Supply Chains: Lessons from Careless Supply During the COVID-19 Pandemic’ (2023. Feminist Legal Studies 31: 291–316).

Professor Sharifah Sekala has stated:

"I am delighted to have won the FLS Editors Article Prize with Ania Zbyszewska. Our research highlights the gendered impact on the failures of medical supply chains during the COVID-19 crisis. We argue that any attempts to think about pandemic preparedness in the future must centre supply chains that promote supply for medical goods that provide essential day to day such as residential care homes and other care settings which are often ignored when law and policy makers think about future emergency health care provision."

Congratulations both from everyone at Warwick Law School!
