International Workers’ Day ‘Labour Law in Context’ Online Exhibition
To celebrate International Workers’ Day (May Day) we have organised an online exhibition to showcase some of the policy briefs realised by students of Labour Law in Context (LA3A6) over the years. These group policy briefs are part of the assessment for the module and aim to encourage students to engage with current labour law debates and learn about policy writing as a tool for legal change. For students this is also an opportunity to value the importance of teamwork, negotiate positions, and work towards a common goal.
Law Alumnus’ incredible work is featured in BBC Documentary
Former Warwick LLB student James Netto (2011) and his team have been working since 2024 to identify and locate absent British military fathers in Nanyuki, Kenya as part of a ground-breaking DNA and legal process. Earlier this month, the BBC released a one hour documentary and six part podcast exploring this incredible work, which focuses on the children fathered by British soldiers and their search for identity and truth.
Thea Baloch wins National Law Student Triathlon
Law 3 Year LLB student Thea Baloch was named joint winner at the 5th Annual National Law Student Triathlon held in Kent last month. The event brought together many talented future legal professionals from Universities across the UK.
Warwick Law School Partners with the World Health Organization on Digital Health Governance
Warwick Law School's Centre for Global Health Law is proud to be part of a new Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Warwick and the World Health Organization (WHO), formalising collaboration to strengthen gender, human rights, and equity in digital health governance. The partnership reflects Warwick Law School's founding commitment to studying law in its social and political context, and its long tradition of placing human rights and social justice at the heart of legal scholarship.

WLS makes global top 100 in latest QS World Rankings
Warwick Law School has been ranked in the top 100 cohort in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2026, rising from the 101-150 banding last year, to 84th place.
This is the largest number of top 100 subjects Warwick has held since at least 2020 and reflects consistently rising research reputation, employer recognition, and international partnerships across the University. Find out more.

LLM Alumnus secures new law and landmark win for UK renters
Ben Twomey, who studied on our LLM in Advanced Legal Studies from 2015-2016, is Chief Executive at ‘Generation Rent’, who recently secured a landmark win for renters in the UK. After a decade of tireless campaigning, the Renters' Rights Act has now received Royal Assent making it an act of Parliament and therefore the law.
