WLS Welcomes 2024 PG Scholarship Holders
Warwick Law School would like to wish a warm welcome to our new postgraduate scholarship holders. Having beat out strong competition to win their awards, they have now started their LLM studies and are settling into life at Warwick.

WLS LLM student raises money to empower women in Nigeria
To celebrate International Women’s Day last week, LLM student Chidinma Kalu, initiated a fundraising activity to raise funds that will be utilised to empower women in Nigeria through equipping them with digital training and skills. The £364.12 raised will be used by the GirlLEAD Project to train and equip about 5 girls in Nigeria with digital skills, thus bridging the digital gender divide in the access to digital skills.

New Collaborative Scholarship for Digital Health & Human Rights Project
We are delighted to announce the award of a new PhD studentship to start in October 2022 as part of the Leverhulme Trust Doctoral programme TRANSFORM. Led by Professor Sharifah Sekalala in the Law School, the award will fund a researcher to investigate the potentials and limitations of digital IDs with biometric features as a prerequisite for accessing health services for marginalised groups in cities.
New Collaborative Scholarship for Police Custody Project
We are delighted to announce the award of a new PhD studentship funded by the Midlands Graduate School ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership, led by Professor Jackie Hodgson in the School of Law, which will fund a researcher to investigate the provision of legal assistance to those detained in police custody in Scotland.

LLM student smashes SPRINT
Warwick Law School student Matilda Nengare who is currently studying on our LLM in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation was selected to participate in the postgraduate Sprint Programme at Warwick, a self-improvement programme aimed at female students.

Our 2019/20 postgraduate students graduate in absentia this week. Each year, we recognise the students who achieved the best overall performance in their class. Congratulations to both our prize winners and the rest of the graduating class.
Dr Celine Tan Celebrates 20 years as a Warwick Alumna
This academic year, Dr Celine Tan celebrates 20 years since she enrolled on our LLM programme at Warwick Law School. She is now Director of Postgraduate Studies overseeing the LLM she remembers so fondly and working alongside her previous lecturers and professional services staff.
