WLS colleagues receive Warwick Awards for Public and Community Engagement
In recognition of their contributions, Professor Jackie Hodgson and Dr Charlotte Woodhead have been awarded a Warwick Award for Public and Community Engagement (WAPCE).
Law student is highly commended in Student Social Mobility WAPCE
Tani Ilemobola has been selected as Highly Commended for a Warwick Award for Public and Community Engagement in the Student Social Mobility Champion category. The award is acknowledgement of her outstanding efforts, hard work and dedication and celebrates her contributions.
CCC hosts first-of-its-kind practice-academia interface event at the Inner Temple, London
The Centre for Constitutions in Context (CCC) hosted a first-of-its-kind event titled 'Enhancing the Dialogue Between Public Law Practice and Academia', co-hosted with the UK Constitutional Law Association. The event took place at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, London earlier this month on 24 June.
Student wins Lacuna Writing Competition with article about 'bulldozer justice'
Finalist Balsher Singh Tiwana has won this year’s Lacuna Writing Competition with an article about “bulldozer justice” and forced demolitions in India. Balsher, who will graduate this summer, produced the piece after reading about the forced displacement of people from minoritised and marginalised communities in shanty towns in Ahmedabad.

The University of Warwick strengthens its global position, climbing 6 places in the latest QS World University Rankings. Published by global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds, Warwick ranks 68th globally among more than 1,500 institutions across 106 countries and 10th in the UK.

Professor Vanessa Munro awarded £719,909 funding for new mock jury research project
Professor Vanessa Munro (principal investigator), Dr Siobhan Weare (co-investigator, Lancaster University), and Dr Madeleine Millar (research and innovation associate), have been awarded £719,909 in funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The funding is for their project, ‘Delivering Justice in a Digital Age: Exploring the Impact on Mock jurors of Pre-Recorded Evidence in Sexual Offences Trials’, which will begin in September 2026.
