PAIS Celebrates Summer Graduation Ceremony
The Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) was delighted to celebrate the achievements of our graduating students as they joined family, friends, staff and fellow graduates for the University of Warwick's Summer Graduation ceremonies.
Graduation marks the culmination of years of hard work, determination and intellectual growth and provided an opportunity for the PAIS community to come together and recognise the accomplishments of the Class of 2026. Students from across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes crossed the stage to receive their degrees and officially become part of Warwick's global alumni community.
Ahead of the ceremony, graduates, guests and members of staff gathered for the PAIS Graduation Reception, where students were able to reflect on their time at Warwick, reconnect with classmates and celebrate their successes together. The ceremony also featured an inspiring address from PAIS alumna Rachael Crook, who encouraged graduates to use the knowledge, skills and perspectives developed during their studies to make a positive difference in the world.
"It was wonderful to celebrate with our brilliant PAIS graduates and their families. Handing over degree certificates on stage was a real privilege. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and look forward to following their future successes. As always, WeArePAIS isn't just for three or four years – it's for life."
PAIS staff joined graduates throughout the day to mark the occasion, celebrate individual achievements and wish students every success in the next stage of their journeys, whether that involves further study, public service, research, business, advocacy or careers across the private and third sectors.
The Department was also very pleased to award the following annual prizes to students:
- The Wyn Grant Prize, awarded for the best performance in the degree of Politics and International Studies, awarded to William Hall & Luciano Di Clemente
- The Jim Bulpit Prize awarded for the best performance in the degree of Politics, awarded to Jamie Mutch
- The Politics and Sociology Prize awarded for the best performance in the Degree of Politics and Sociology, awarded to Jade Francis
- The Roger Duclaud-Williams Prize awarded for the best performance in a PAIS and School of Modern Languages and Cultures degree, awarded to Amie Sparks
- The Susan Hurley Prize awarded for the best performance in the module Issues in Political Theory, awarded to Sareena Gaire
- The Philippa Sherrington Prize, awarded to the best performance in the module European Union Policy Making, awarded to Giulia Zanzi
