My research interests lie in the intersection between ethics and the philosophy of mind and psychology. In particular, I am interested in the question of what moral understanding is and how do we acquire it with a particular focus on the role in this of the emotions, social interaction and communication. I also have an interest in the phenomenological tradition, in particular in the early works of Jean-Paul Sartre. I completed my PhD at the University of Warwick in 2017 where I looked at the role of emotional experience in our learning moral value. I then joined the Philosophy Department of the University of Geneva for one year as Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2017-2018) before taking on a two-year Irish Research Council postdoctoral research fellowship at University College Dublin (2018-2020).
