Profile
Yamin Chowdhary (he/him) is an ESRC funded second year PhD researcher based in the Department of Sociology at the University of Warwick. His research interest revolves around the queer theory and its complexities within postcolonial societies - particularly focusing on the issues of identity politics and its relationship with nationalism, citizenship and neo-liberal structures. Previously, Yamin holds a master's degree in Sexual Dissidence from the University of Sussex, a master's degree in Social Science Research from the University of Warwick, and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi.
Beyond academic pursuits, Yamin finds great solace in photography and travelling.
