Research Funding

The Alliance Co-Fund is designed to enhance the quality and competitiveness of research proposals to external funders by leveraging the existing links and complementary expertise between Monash and Warwick.

The Alliance Activation Fund is designed to flexibly support Monash and Warwick researchers to establish new links and advance existing collaborations. The Fund targets activities that respond to a challenge or external demand and utilise our complementary strengths to deliver research excellence and impact.

The Alliance Joint PhD is part of our commitment to developing a successor generation of internationally experienced young researchers. It is aimed at supporting academic collaborations by attracting outstanding, highly-mobile PhD candidates who can bring additional capacity to support joint research teams. Up to 3 full scholarships (fees, maintenance and travel allowance) are awarded annually to the most outstanding PhD applicants.

Education Funding

The Alliance Education Fund is designed to support academics and/or professional staff working collaboratively on a wide range of projects in education/student opportunity aimed at internationalising our teaching and learning.

This Scheme is managed by the Monash Education Academy (MEA) and the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) and provides a funding contribution to enable sharing, development and review of innovative pedagogical activity through exchanges of leading educators.

The Scheme is currently under review.

Student Funding

The PhD Travel Grant is a fantastic opportunity to connect with academics and fellow research students across the globe. This short-term travel grant scheme helps to build research connections between Monash and Warwick without requiring a long-term commitment to studying abroad. The Scheme is open to PhD students at Warwick and provides up to £2,000 funding contribution towards short (up to 10 weeks) visits to Monash.

The Student-led Activity Fund supports Warwick and Monash students to work together to design and develop international activities.
